Sankalp & SCSC: A Shared Commitment to Creating Safer Communities
Sankalp’s commitment to building safe and secure communities for children has taken a significant step forward with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC). This partnership aims to strengthen child safety initiatives through the launch of Suraksha Kavach Safety Clubs in low-income private schools across Serilingampally Mandal, Telangana.
This is a collective effort of SCSC, Sankalp, and the Cyberabad Police, reinforcing a multi-stakeholder approach to child protection.
Suraksha Kavach Safety Clubs
The Suraksha Kavach Clubs are designed to empower children and school communities through a comprehensive safety framework built on four key pillars:
- Physical Safety
- Cyber Safety
- Psychological Safety
- Road Safety
Each participating school has constituted a core Kavach Club Committee, comprising the School Principal, one teacher, one parent, and two students. These committees play a vital role in facilitating Kavach activities within schools and ensuring sustained focus on child safety.
Schools have expressed strong confidence and readiness to actively participate in this initiative, recognising the importance of creating safe, supportive, and child-friendly learning environments.
