As per the National Family Health Survey (NFHS) 2019-21, 21% of children were attributed to their parents\u2019 inability to afford their education. 13% of children reported being compelled to work to support their families, and 7% got married. These often prevent girls from receiving the education they need to reach their full potential. But education is a powerful tool that can transform the lives of children.
Sankalp has been working since 2007 to improve access to education for underprivileged children in Telangana and has reached out to more than 5000 children to actualize their dreams. Our aim is to improve access for quality education and enable underprivileged children who are unable to attend school due to parental poverty and being compelled to work to contribute financially to their families.
We believe that by promoting education among underprivileged children, we can help break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future for them, their families, and their communities.
