Sankalp has hosted its annual Fundraising Food Festival \u2018Khaan Paan Dhukan\u2019.The initiative was organized with a view to raise funds for supporting the education of girl children across India, focusing on Hyderabad. The Food Festival served Hyderabadi, Continental, Chinese, and Indian cuisine. While the majority of food was cooked and served by all the employees of the company, the initiative was also supported by Minerva Grand & Sai Charan Catering.?<\/p>\n

Bright faces and smiles of children from two of the Sankalp supported schools turned the event livelier. The children engaged the audience through their self-created innovative games making the fundraiser evet an apt platform to even meet the children for whom these funds are raised.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the occasion Ms. Hemalatha Vijayaraghan, Founder of Sankalp said, \u201cThe food festival has received overwhelming response from Hyderabadis. The price of all the items on the menu was kept at the minimal making it feasible for the participants to enjoy a variety of food. Since this event was meant to raise money to support girl child education, the guests were more than willing to contribute anything over & above the price range. With more than 300 participants, we\u2019ve raised about RS 3,00,000 which exceeded our expectations. Through this we would be able to support the education of additional 50 children\u201d<\/p>\n
Sankalp is a CSR initiative by the associates of Sathguru Management Consultants (Sathguru), ![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.sathguru.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/F29A8159-300x200.jpg\")
where a group of like-minded colleagues from all the divisions join together to support specific philanthropic goals. It is a humanitarian initiative to reach out and make a difference to the society.<\/p>\n
These initiatives include supporting the education of underprivileged children, child protection, and healthcare initiatives for the elderly, and some more community-centric activities. Blood donation camps are organized at regular intervals to support children suffering from Thalassemia & cancer.<\/p>\n
Sankalp has reached out to more than 250 children from 6 schools of which 40 children have completed class 10 and have successfully enrolled in higher secondary classes. One of our first students is pursuing MBBS.<\/p>\n

Under our project PANTS, an initiative to create awareness on child sexual abuse, we have empowered more than 2000 children on recognizing, reacting and reporting abuse. We aim to reach out to 5000 children, 1000 parents and 1000 teachers. We will be reaching out to children both from Sankalp supported schools and government schools.<\/p>\n
