K. Vijayaraghavan’s address at the Global Health Forum,
      Bamako, Mali

The Global Ministerial Forum on Research for Health at Bamako, Mali from November 17-19, 2008, brought together close to 1100 international participants from government, intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations, the private sector, research institutions and research councils, civil society and the media. The participants came together from over 75 countries to address serious global and national health research challenges.

K. Vijayaraghavan, Chief Executive, was invited to share the success of Sathguru Management Consultants in forging partnerships for public good in South Asia in health. Vijay shared Sathguru’s strategy as part of a global panel that considered strategies on overcoming sectoral barriers and support intersectoral research collaboration and partnerships through appropriate policies and strong incentives, and focusing on how policy and science integrate with implementation mechanisms.
