Sathguru at the Institute of Food Technologists Summit
The Pre-Annual Meeting Short Courses offered by the Knowledge and Learning Centre under the aegis of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) are designed to enable participants to better understand the industry as a whole and develop a common vernacular, identify ways in which food science impacts and supports non-scientific work and identify emerging trends in food science.
Sathguru had the privilege of giving three lectures at this year’s short course entitled Capitalizing on India’s Global Competitiveness and Robust Agri-Food Sector on 5 and 6 June, 2009 held as a prequel to this year’s IFT summit at Anaheim, California. Attendees to the event were addressed by an eminent faculty comprising experts from public sector, government, academia, scientific communities and private Industry. The topics of the lectures covered the entire gamut of the food sector in India ranging from policy to process, from trends to projections.
Akshat Medakker Manager - Technology Management and Ashok Jha Manager - Agri Business from Sathguru delivered lectures on the Current Status of Food Processing Sector in India, Investment in Food Industry – What is the Indian Story and Intellectual Property and Protection Related to New Technologies in India.
