About our recently concluded Hospitality Management Program

The weeklong Executive Development Program on Hospitality Management titled ‘Managing Strategic Growth and Leadership in Emerging Markets’ helped top managers from leading hotels chains across South Asia and the Near East equip themselves with the latest advances in hotel industry. The participants, who included Managing Directors, Vice presidents and GMs of the leading hotels returned to their organizations with full of confidence to transform strategies into action.

The program that concluded on 8th June 2007 at ICRISAT in Hyderabad, India, was attended by delegates from leading international hotel chains such as Serena Group, Pan Pacific, The  Oberoi Group,  Park group,  Trident Hilton hotels, Radisson Hotels and other leading individual properties based in India and several neighboring countries.

Sathguru Management Consultants conducted the program in partnership with the School of Hotel Administration, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.

The participants engaged in case study based discussions that focused on understanding various building blocks of strategy, such as development of strategic plan and perspectives and positioning strategies. Intricate revenue management concepts and options were discussed in the light of the volatile demand – supply environment. The participants were exposed to various methods of creating brand affiliation contracts and the valuation principles. The weeklong program focused on several distinct components such as the strategic management for growth and competitiveness, innovations in marketing and best practices in marketing, revenue optimization, brand affiliation options, enterprise valuation methods and strategic human capital management. .
